Chennai – A horrifying incident occurred at KKN nagar Meenakshi College.19 years old teenage girl Ashwini was stabbed to death by an offender in broad day-light.
The girl was pursuing B.com 1st year while she was crossing the road near the college premises the culprit Alagesan Ganesan approached near her and quarrelled with her which led to a heated argument in between two of them, he got frustrated and suddenly he took out a sharp knife and stabbed her repeatedly on her chest ,throat and stomach. She fell on the ground and became unconsiouness lying in a pool of blood. This culprit attempted to flee away, several residents of that particular area chased him , beated and nabbed him and handed over him to the police officials.
The innocent girl was admitted to a nearby KM hospital for medical treatment, doctors stated that the victim could not survive anymore due to heavy loss of blood and declared her as dead.The offender wanted to create a melodrama to threaten Ashwini to implement his plan he carried a can of kerosene apparently with an intention to set himself ablaze.He used to work at a temporary worker in Chennai corporation..
Police investigation report revealed that Ashwini father passed away long back ago and her mother Sankari a native of Thiruvannamer used to work as a maid- servant and looked after her well-being.The deceased relatives claim that the culprit forcibly entered their home at Madhuravoyal and forcibly tied a mangalsutra around her neck assuming her as his wife on February 14th.
After this turmoil, Shankara relatives lodged a complaint at Madhuravoyal Police station.Ashwini had been staying at her uncle Sampath’s residence in Jafferkhanpet from the past 20 days.But eager to attend college as her exams are approaching.Her body was shifted to Kilpauk Medical college for post-mortem report.The police arrested the culprit immediately and further investigation process is carried on.
